And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory.

(CUV Traditional)

馬太 5:3 ,the poor in spirit, 舊繹" 虛心"、"神貧"都錯。 Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. (KJV)

Chapter 5Next

29若是你的右眼使你跌倒,剜出它來,從你身上扔掉,因為喪失你一個肢體,比你全身投入地獄裏,為你更好;
34我卻對你們說:你們總不可發誓:不可指天,因為天是天主的寶座;
35不可指地,因為地是他的腳凳;不可指耶路撒冷,因為她是大王的城市;

...but I shall not be.

...but I shall not be.

Chapter 7Next

The Feast of Corpus Christi El Greco’s Christ Carrying the Cross

The crucifixion of Christ on Good Friday is by far the most common motif in Christian art. But El Greco’s Christ Carrying the Cross is a bit different than most such paintings. There’s a penetrating and very direct emotionality to his depiction of Jesus making his way while gently embracing the cross with his eyes turned to heaven. There are no other figures to be seen, he is completely alone. The sky and his eyes warn of his coming fate, but the painting still manages to communicate a touching message of hope and trust.

The Body of Christ

The Feast of Corpus Christi (Latin for Body of Christ), also known as Corpus Domini, is a Latin Rite liturgical solemnity celebrating the tradition and belief in the body and blood of Jesus Christ and his Real Presence in the Eucharist. It emphasizes the joy of the institution of the Eucharist, which was observed on Holy Thursday in the somber atmosphere of the nearness of Good Friday.
In the present Roman Missal, the feast is designated the solemnity of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.[1] It is also celebrated in some AnglicanLutheran, and Old Catholic Churches that hold similar beliefs regarding the Real Presence.
The feast is liturgically celebrated on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday or, "where the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ is not a holy day of obligation, it is assigned to the Sunday after the Most Holy Trinity as its proper day".[1] At the end of Holy Mass, there is often a procession of the Blessed Sacrament, generally displayed in amonstrance. The procession is followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
A notable Eucharistic procession is that presided over by the Pope each year in Rome, where it begins at the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran and makes its way to the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, where it concludes with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

Brazil’s economy is in a mess, with far bigger problems than the government will admit or investors seem to register. The torpid stagnation into which it fell in 2013 is becoming a full-blown—and probably prolonged—recession, as high inflation squeezes wages and consumers’ debt payments rise. Investment, already down by 8% from a year ago, could fall much further http://econ.st/1BGnYG7

Chagall, who came from Belarusian-Jewish heritage, quickly packed his bags for Palestine, hoping to find inspiration in the Holy Land. The resulting series, “The Bible,” spanned 25 years and two volumes, showing parables and figures from the Old and New Testaments in 105 etchings.

Chagall's La Bible (1932–39, 1952–56) was an enormous project that spanned more than two decades.

Dear Hanching,
I viewed the video. Though I cannot speak Chinese, I like this old man telling the stories. Yes my stories with Deming, Juran, Ishikawa, Feigenbaum and Crosby are worth a video on Youtube. I will ponder over that.
